Thanks for changing your world
During the first week of July in 2009, thousands of you across the UK swapped a car trip and walked, cycled, used public transport or car-shared instead. If you were one of them – a big, big thank you for doing your bit to cut car traffic and change our world.
Change Your World will be back next year between 28 June and 3 July 2010. We really hope you’ll join in again and, of course, if you enjoyed your car-free journey, don’t wait until then to give it another go.
Nearly one in four car trips are less than two miles so why not turn the key in your own ignition more often? It’s easy to swap a car trip now and then and you’ll continue to enjoy all the benefits of healthier travel. Sounds like very good car-ma to us!
Get involved next year
Change Your World is an annual campaign run by Sustrans which invites people across the UK to swap just one car trip during the first week of July and to walk, cycle, take public transport or car-share instead. If we all take this one small action together we’ll cut car traffic by 10%, giving us healthier journeys, cleaner air and quieter streets.
Everyone can join in Change Your World. Kids, adults, schools, colleges, businesses, health organisations, community groups and local authorities can all get involved.
